Vicki Ward is a published author and CEO of Nubian Images Publishing Company, publisher of the multiple award winning book, “Life’s Spices From Seasoned Sistahs, A Collection of Life Stories From Mature Women of Color.” Her vision for Seasoned Sistahs began to crystallize with this collection of life events told through the voices of women of color.

The bonding, sharing and true spirit of camaraderie generated through the experiences the women have shared in this book has been phenomenal. A group of fifteen contributing authors in the San Francisco Bay Area have presented to audiences at the African American Museum and Library, Oakland, Ca., Marcus Books Oakland Ca., Carole’s Books, Sacramento, Cal, and St. Joseph’s Hospital, Stockton Ca., and to local book clubs and more.

This vision continues to unfold with the planned publication of future publications that explore the lifestyles of women of color and the emergence of the Seasoned Sistah of 2000 and beyond. In one book we explore what mature women want and how they view this new phase of their lives. We also continue to explore the bonding and support system that exists for women in the next volume of stories from women.

Vicki Ward has been a guest speaker for Soroptimist Clubs, and American Business Women’s Organization Chapters. She has presented to college classes and college faculty groups. She was the keynote speaker at the Women’s Initiative for Self Improvement Graduation, has conducted workshops at the Women of color Conference at University of California Berkeley, California, and the East County Women’s Conference, Antioch, California. She is available for workshops, conferences, middle school, and high school career fairs, and to speak to high school, and college classes.

Nubian Images publishes inspiring and entertaining books; many that focus on the lives of women as they age. The themes are universally appealing to women of all cultures. Some focus on women of color, others highlight issues of maturing women, others provide information of interest to women of all ages. Younger women as well as mature women will all be inspired through personal testimonies and personal survey responses in these books.
